Built by legendary artist Diego Rivera, this place is one of a kind. The building itself is an architectural jewel, and the collection mainly consists of Rivera’s personal collection of pre-Hispanic art, accumulated over his lifetime.

The museum is very big and given the vast and important theme, we recommend getting a guide to be able to grasp and understand the value of this amazing museum. The architecture is stunning and has one of the most beautiful fountains in the world. 

Designed by David Chipperfield and owned by the company of one of Mexico’s most-renowned art collectors, Eugenio Lopez. The permanent collection hosts works by Cy Twombly, Damien Hirst, and Andy Warhol. Their changing exhibits are always perfectly curated, so we recommend checking what is on while you are visiting. 

Contemporary art museum with beautiful architecture. Founded by Rufino Tamayo, featuring many of his own works as well as a massive collection of international contemporary art. Check their exhibits when visiting, which are always worth it.
